I thank each of you helping me choose the Front Cover artwork. I merged the two to capture your suggestions and what you liked in each previous image.

Updated: Sep 7

I created a collage for my latest novel's front cover and sent it to my publisher as an example. The publisher's artist returned the second front cover proposed artwork. Which do you prefer?

What you should know before assessing the two covers.

1. The scene is in December in the Arctic Circle.

2. The weather is heavily overcast and there is no sunlight.

3. Location is crowded with large and sophisticated radio and radar transmitter and receiving installations including buildings that house the associated electronics equipment and the equipment operators.

4. The temperatures are 40 to 50 degrees below zero Fahrenheit (- 40 to - 45.6 Celsius) and people are seldom seen outdoors.

5. This is a murder mystery, so the scene should suggest some mystery, such as a heavily cloaked figure of a person who could be the victim, the murderer, or the lone maverick investigator.
